Glossary of Key Terms used in Happyfox BI

These are a few common terminologies you will come across while using HappyFox BI.

 

Visualization:

A single table, tile or a graph that represents information. You can create and edit visualizations based on your business needs. It can also be referred to as a “Visual”. Learn more about creating a new visualization.

 

Page:

A page is a collection of visualizations. The page helps you to group related visualizations under one screen. Each visualization in a page can be separately created, cloned and moved across pages. Learn more about creating a new page.

 

Report:

A collection of pages is called a report. Any number of pages can be added to a report. Grouping of pages into reports helps stakeholders, within and outside the organization, interpret data for decision making. Reports help organize your pages and visualizations. Filter:

A filter allows you to narrow down or subset the data based on specific criteria. You can apply filters at multiple levels like data set, reports, pages, and visualizations. Learn more about filters.

 

Date Filter:

Date filter allows the user to choose the time period to report on. The selection made in the date filter reflects across the HappyFox BI account in all the reports and pages, until changed. Learn more about date filter.
 

Data Sync:

Data sync or data refresh is the process of data being fetched from the connected application (HappyFox Help desk). Data refresh with HappyFox Help Desk is done at a specified frequency of weekly, daily or hourly basis.

 

Users:

Users are those who can access your HappyFox BI account. Learn more about adding users.
