Bulk actions are useful to support agents in cases where the agent will have to perform the same action on multiple Service Requests. This article will explain how to perform bulk actions from the listing page

1. Once you choose more than one Service Request from the listing page the bulk editing action bar will be displayed on the top of the page.

2. You can also select all the Service Requests on a page by clicking on the checkbox next to the Queue title.

3. Currently, the bulk editing actions that can be initiated from the listing page are as follows,

3.1. Change Priority

Clicking on the Priority action area in the bulk editing bar will display a Change Priority popover where you can select the required priority and click on Update to initiate the Bulk Action.

3.2. Change Impact

Clicking on the Impact action area in the bulk editing bar will display a Change Impact popover where you can select the required impact and click on Update to initiate the Bulk Action.

3.3. Send Mass Reply

Clicking on the Mass Reply action area will direct you to a Mass Reply page where you can see the list of Service Requests selected top and the Add Reply rich text container below where you can provide the reply which needs to be sent to all the requesters of the Service Request. You can also update the Impact and Urgency fields in the Service Request Information section on the right. Once the required changes are updated click on Add Reply to initiate the Bulk Action.

3.4. Delete

Clicking on the Delete icon in the bulk editing bar will display a delete confirmation popover. Click on the Delete action button to initiate the Delete Bulk Action.

The bulk action will be a background process and a loader will be displayed on the app header.

  • Clicking on the loader will display a popover to show the progress of the bulk update action

  • Depending on the number of Service Requests selected and properties that are getting updated the bulk action will take some time to complete.

  • You can also cancel a bulk update action from the popover.

  • Once the bulk update is complete you will be notified with a banner message.

Note: Canceling a bulk action will not revert the changes that have already been updated to the Service Requests.
