Assist AI can help deflect questions from employees by suggesting relevant answers from the added knowledge source. This article explains the steps involved in integrating your Sharepoint knowledge source with Assist AI.
Pre-requisite:
For Slack users: You should be an Assist AI admin to complete the installation of Assist AI on Slack.
For Teams users: You should be a Global admin on Teams to complete the installation of Assist AI on Teams
Integrating Assist AI with Sharepoint
Integrating Assist AI with Sharepoint allows you to leverage your existing content from the app to help answer employee queries from within Slack / Teams.

Sign in to your Sharepoint Account

If you are using Assist AI on Slack, open your Slack Workspace → click on Apps → Assist AI → Home tab→ Manage Assist AI

If you are using Assist AI on Teams, open your Teams workspace → click on Assist AI on the left tab → Home tab→ Manage Assist AI

This opens your Assist AI Admin dashboard

Head to the Apps section on the left pane and then click Sharepoint from the Knowledge Source section

Click on the Link button

Click Allow access

It could take a few minutes for the site information to be fetched, so if you do not see your site information in the drop-down, please try after a few minutes.

Type to search for your Sharepoint site from the dropdown and click Submit.

This integration also syncs your Sharepoint documents like Word and PDF for a seamless search experience.

Set the visibility restrictions for your site and pages as required. With this, your Sharepoint account has been successfully integrated with Assist AI.
Testing the integration between Assist AI and Sharepoint:

Open your Slack / Teams Workspace, head to Apps → Assist AI

Click on the Messages tab

Enter a question from the knowledge content available in your Sharepoint account

Assist AI will fetch relevant answers from the newly connected Sharepoint knowledge source. With this, the Sharepoint integration and testing have been successfully completed.
Note: It takes about 20 minutes to complete the data import. Please test the integration after that.
