Asset scheduled AI Agents need an asset type, a populated date field, a ticket category, and a contact email before they can create alert tickets.
Before you start
Make sure your Help Desk account has:
- Asset records for the type you want Autopilot to monitor.
- A date field that stores warranty, expiry, maintenance, or renewal dates.
- A ticket category for the alert tickets Autopilot will create.
- A contact email to use on created tickets.
Prepare asset fields
- Open the asset type the AI Agent should monitor.
- Confirm the asset type contains the records Autopilot should monitor.
- Confirm the date field is populated on sample asset records.
- Check that dates use the expected date format and are not stored as plain text.
- Confirm the ticket category for created tickets still exists.
- Confirm the contact email is valid and monitored by the right team.
What to avoid
- Do not choose a date field that is rarely populated.
- Do not use an old asset type that no longer represents active assets.
- Do not use a broad ticket category if a dedicated follow-up category exists.
What happens next
Asset AI Agents can find upcoming dates and create alert tickets in the right category with the right contact.
Hire the asset AI Agent and choose the alert window that matches how early your team wants the ticket created.
After the asset fields are ready, choose alert windows and ticket contacts.
