Microsoft Teams Meeting Integration with HappyFox Help Desk

The Microsoft Teams integration with HappyFox Help Desk enables agents to schedule and manage Teams meetings directly within support tickets. This integration facilitates easy scheduling and enhances collaboration with customers, ensuring faster query resolutions. Agents can generate Teams meeting links, insert them into ticket replies, and conduct real-time support sessions—all within the HappyFox platform.

Note:

  • Only the admin user of the Microsoft Teams account will be able to perform the OAuth authorization.
  • In Microsoft Teams, please ensure that the option "People in my organization and guests" is selected for "Who can bypass the lobby".

Managing Microsoft Teams Integration:

To enable Microsoft Teams integration within HappyFox Help Desk, follow these steps:

  • Go to the App section in HappyFox Help Desk.
  • Choose Microsoft Teams Meeting from the list of available apps.
  • Click Install to start the installation process.
  • When prompted, click Link Microsoft Teams button.
  • Sign in with your Microsoft account and grant the required permissions for Microsoft Teams Meeting.

Once permissions are granted, you will see a confirmation that Microsoft Teams has been successfully installed.

 

With Microsoft Teams linked, agents can now generate meeting links directly from within a ticket.

How to Add a Meeting Link to a Ticket:

  • Open the ticket you want to add the Teams meeting link.
  • In the right pane, under the Microsoft Teams section, click Generate meeting link.
  • A new Teams meeting link will be created, showing the link and the timestamp of creation.

If a meeting has already been created, agents can choose Regenerate meeting link to generate a new link if needed.

 

To include the meeting link in the ticket reply, click Add meeting link to reply. This will automatically insert the Teams meeting link into the reply editor.

  • Can I regenerate a new Microsoft Teams link for an existing ticket?
    Yes, once a meeting has been generated, agents can click Regenerate meeting link to create a new link for the same ticket if needed.
     
  • Will the Microsoft Teams link expire after the meeting?
    No, the Teams meeting link remains active and can be reused for future meetings if needed.
     
  • Does generating a Teams link create a calendar event in Outlook?
    No, generating a Teams meeting link does not create a calendar event in Outlook. The link is intended for immediate use and is not saved as an event in your calendar.
