Kanban and Compact View - Drag and Drop

You can now easily reorganize tickets in Kanban view and reorder columns in Compact view using drag and drop functionality. This enhancement streamlines the way you manage and organize your tickets and fields. 

Kanban View:

With the new drag and drop feature in Kanban view, you can now move tickets between columns. When you drag and drop a ticket, its corresponding property (e.g., ticket status, priority, status) will automatically update based on the column it is moved to.
 

  • Simply drag a ticket from one column and drop it into another to update its properties automatically.

  • If there are issues during the drag and drop process, the ticket will return to its original position in the column.

  • The position where tickets are dropped may not be retained when revisiting the page. The ticket may appear in a different position upon reload.



Limitations:

  • Drag and drop is not supported in Kanban View when in Due Date mode.

  • Drag and drop is not supported in Assignee mode unless the user has the Assign Tickets permission at the ticket level.

Compact View:

Previously, you could only reorganize columns in Compact view through the table options in the top left of the table, and this option was available only in Custom View mode.

Now, with the drag and drop functionality, you can reorganize the columns of the Compact view table in both Default and Custom View modes, giving you more flexibility to adjust the table’s layout based on your preferences.
