Connecting your HappyFox Chatbot to External Systems

HappyFox Chatbot can be connected to multiple systems with ease. With the following out-of-box integrations, you can create tickets, escalate chats to live agents, share calendly links to book appointments, and do much more. 

Here are the current integrations - 

• HappyFox Helpdesk

  • Create tickets on HappyFox Helpdesk for every bot conversation

• HappyFox Workflows

  • Trigger a HappyFox Workflow and display results during a conversation

• HappyFox Chat

  • Transfer bot conversations to live chat agents in real time

• Calendly

  • Schedule meetings on Calendly using HappyFox Chatbot

• Zapier

  • Send events to Zapier and render results of your Zap in chatbot

• Rest API

  • HappyFox Chat REST API provides read-only access to your data for use in your application

Connecting Chatbot to Helpdesk

To connect the bot builder to the helpdesk, follow these steps - 

• Log onto the HappyFox Bot Builder platform

• Navigate to the Apps section

• Click on HappyFox Helpdesk

• Click on Install HappyFox Helpdesk

• Enter your HappyFox Helpdesk account URL

• Enter the keys copied from the Helpdesk to the Install HappyFox Helpdesk page

  • Navigate to the Helpdesk account and copy the API key and Auth Code

    • You can get/create your API key and Auth code from the API Integrations page in your HappyFox Help Desk account under Apps > Goodies

• Click on Connect

Connecting Chatbot to HappyFox Chat

To connect the bot builder to the HappyFox Chat, follow these steps - 

• Log onto the HappyFox Bot Builder platform

• Navigate to the Apps section

• Click on HappyFox Chat

• Click on Install HappyFox Chat

• Enter the API key copied from the HappyFox Chat to the HappyFox Chat & Chatbot

• integrations details page

  • You can get/create your API key from the REST API section under 'Apps > Goodies' in your HappyFox Chat account.

• Click on Connect

Connecting Chatbot to Calendly

To connect the bot builder to the HappyFox Chat, follow these steps - 

• Log onto the HappyFox Bot Builder platform

• Navigate to the Apps section

• Click on HappyFox Chat

• Click on Install Calendly

• You will automatically be taken to the Calendly login page

• Add your credentials and you’d be taken back to the Bot Builder on Successful connection

Connecting Chatbot to Workflows

To use the Trigger HappyFox Workflow action inside the bot builder, you need to connect the bot builder to the HappyFox Workflows. Follow these steps to do so - 

• Log onto the HappyFox Bot Builder platform

• Navigate to the Apps section

• Click on Happyfox Workflow

• Click on Install Happyfox Workflow

• You will be connected to the Workflow account 

Connecting Rest API & Chatbot

Enabling API in your HappyFox Bot Builder account allows you to use HappyFox RESTful API to perform create, read, update and delete operations the chatbot data. To get API keys to do so, you need to connect the bot builder to the Rest API App. Follow these steps to do so - 

• Log onto the HappyFox Bot Builder platform

• Navigate to the Apps section

• Click on REST API app

• Click on Install Rest API

• Generate a new API token

  • Give it a name and Save

Connecting Zapier & Chatbot

To use Zaps to interact and manipulate data with third part systems, follow these steps - 

• Log onto the HappyFox Bot Builder platform

• Navigate to the Apps section

• Click on Zapier

• Click on Install HappyFox Workflow

• Either create a new API key or regenerate one if needed

• Copy the API key and paste it into the Zapier & HappyFox Chatbot app
