The HappyFox Helpdesk Agent Portal is launching a redesigned app menu and homepage on January 30, 2025, to improve navigation and user experience.

New Menu with Lock Control:

A new sidebar provides persistent navigation. The new menu features a lock control located at the bottom-left corner.

  • Locked State: Only menu icons are displayed. Hovering over an icon reveals the corresponding menu names for quick, one-click navigation.

  • Unlocked State: Menu names are displayed on hover for easier identification and access.

All-New Homepage:

The redesigned homepage provides a streamlined and useful dashboard, featuring:

  • Feature Release Carousel: A carousel showcasing the three latest feature releases in HappyFox Helpdesk.

  • Quick Actions for Agents: Quick action links, based on your permissions, allow you to manage essential tasks.

  • Access to HappyFox University: A direct link to HappyFox University for training resources.

  • Pending Ticket Stats: An overview of pending and assigned ticket statistics.

Other Navigation and Organizational Changes:

The following changes improve navigation and organization within the Helpdesk:

  • Billing Option Relocation: For improved accessibility, the "Billing" option has been moved under "Manage."

  • Classic Report and Dashboard Renaming: The Dashboard and V1 Reports have been renamed "Classic Reports" and moved under the "Reports" section. This is a reorganization for better navigation; there are no functional changes.

  • Forum Relocation: The "Forum" section has been moved under the "Support Center" for easier access and a more streamlined interface.
  • Deprecation of Welcome Page Toggle: The "Show Welcome Page" toggle has been removed. Agents will now be directed to the default tickets page upon login.

  • Option to Toggle Back to Classic View: For a limited time, agents can toggle back to the classic view. After this period, users will be defaulted to the new menu interface.
