Private tickets are a great way to track progress or address issues internally. They help maintain confidentiality and focus on internal collaboration.
However, what if a Private ticket was created unintentionally, and you need it to be public?
Unfortunately, a Private ticket, once created, cannot be directly converted into a Public ticket. However, you can easily clone the Private ticket and create a new Public ticket to continue your work.
Here’s how you can handle this situation:
-
Find the Private Ticket:
Go to the Private ticket you want to make Public. -
Clone the Ticket:
Use the "Clone Ticket" option to duplicate the ticket’s details. This creates a new ticket that you can modify. -
Save the Public Ticket:
Save the cloned ticket and continue working on it as your new Public ticket.
Additional Tip:
-
Keep in mind that internal comments or private attachments from the original ticket won’t carry over to the new ticket. Be sure to manually add any necessary information to the Public ticket.
