AI Actions in Assist AI

AI Actions in Assist AI is designed to empower users by seamlessly executing tasks through integrated applications. With AI actions, users can interact with Assist AI and request tasks to be executed, such as unlocking Okta account or resetting MFA in Azure Active directory.

After the user expresses his/her needs, Assist AI recognizes the requested task and seeks confirmation before proceeding. This ensures accuracy and prevents unintended actions. AI Actions are currently enabled in Okta integration for Slack users and in Azure Active Directory integration for Microsoft Teams users.

Configuration Process:

  • Navigate to the Assist AI admin web app where AI Actions are enabled, such as Okta (for Slack users) or Azure AD (for Teams users).
  • Scroll down to find the list of available AI actions. In Okta, actions like Unlock User, Reset MFA, and Reset Password are available. In Azure AD, you can reset MFA.
  • To configure an AI action, simply enable the toggle next to the desired action. This will allow you to proceed with configuring the action settings.
  • Upon enabling an AI action, choose the appropriate settings based on your requirements.
  • If approvals are necessary before executing an action, select Approval Required from the dropdown menu.
  • If you need a ticket to be generated after each action, configure the ticket settings accordingly. Specify the status, category, and subject of the ticket. Note that only completed status options are available, as the ticket is created post-action completion to log the executed actions.

Utilizing AI Actions:
Once AI actions are configured, they can be utilized seamlessly to automate various tasks within the organization. To utilize AI Actions, users can post prompts like "Help me reset my Okta password" to initiate the request instantly. Assist AI will instantly respond and execute the task on behalf of the user. If any approvals are configured for the requested action, the designated approver will be notified for review and approval. Once approved, the requestor will receive confirmation of the task completion.
