Guides are a curated collection of content built in a step-by-step manner to provide information, advice, or instruction to help users resolve their issues or to complete a task.
HappyFox Bot Builder helps you build and showcase your guides to end-users inside the widget. Adding guides in your bot allows users to not only troubleshoot an issue step by step on the conversational flow but also show up as a search result on AI Search.
Build a Guide
To build a guide, follow these steps:
- Click Content on the left pane tab
- Under Content, choose Guide and click on Create a new guide
- Give your guide a name under Guide Title. For example - A guide to reset your password
- Add the relevant information in a step-by-step manner to make the content clearer. The first box on the screen would be the first step
- Save and click on Add New Guide Step to add the next set of information
- You can format your content and also add pictures to your Guide
- Make sure your Guides are Published. Only then do they become available for selection in the bot action.
- You can also add relevant tags and keywords to your guide to enhance AI search results
Add a Guide to your Chatbot
To configure an action to give user choices, follow the steps below -
- Open the bot builder and choose the bot you want to configure
- To add guides in the Bot Builder, navigate to Bots on the left tab
- Go to the required point on the chatbot flow where the guide needs to be added
- Next, click on + and choose Show Guide action
- Choose a guide of your Choice
- Save the action
- Save & Publish the chatbot
Testing Your Chatbot
Click on the button Test to open a new tab with your published bot.
