How to sort data in a visualization?
print icon

Sorting allows us to rearrange the order of the dataset based on our requirements. A visualization can be sorted based on a field that is not used in the current visualization as well. More than one field can be used to sort a visualization.

How to sort a visualization?

  1. Click the ‘edit’ icon on the top right of the visualization.

  2. ‘Edit visualization’ page opens, navigate to 'Sorting options' under the 'Settings' tab.

  3. You can add fields based on which the visualization should be sorted by clicking on the ‘+’ symbol next to ‘Sort options’. Default sorting based on the field used in the visualization is listed already.

  4. Choose the sorting order from the dropdown- ascending/ descending.
