Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a critical feature for enhancing account security, but it can also pose challenges when you switch phones and lose access to the backup codes. In such situations, a fellow Administrator can help.

Here’s a guide to help resolve the issue, provided another admin can access the system.

Step 1: Identify Another Admin with Access

If you can no longer access your Authenticator app or the backup codes, the next step is to involve another admin with "Manage Agents" permission.

Step 2: Navigate to the Manage Agents Page

The other Admin should log into the system and follow these steps:

  1. Start by accessing the MenuManage > Agents.
  2. Locate the Admin who lost access and click to access the Agent detail page.

Step 3: Retrieve Backup Codes

  1. The other admin should see an option labeled "View Backup Codes" for your account.

    2. By clicking on this option, the other Admin can view the backup codes for you to use.

Step 4: Use the Backup Code to Log In

  1. Enter the code during the login process when prompted for 2FA.
  2. After logging in, immediately set up your new Authenticator app to avoid similar issues in the future.
