Integrate your Lansweeper with HappyFox Helpdesk

Lansweeper is an IT asset management and network monitoring solution that provides comprehensive insights into your IT infrastructure. By integrating Lansweeper with HappyFox Helpdesk, you can seamlessly synchronize asset details and device statuses with help desk tickets. This integration ensures that your support teams have real-time access to asset information, enabling more efficient troubleshooting, faster resolution times, and enhanced collaboration between IT teams and end-users.

 

With Lansweeper - Happyfox Help Desk Integration:

  • Sync Devices: Devices managed by Lansweeper are synchronized with HappyFox Help Desk, ensuring up-to-date device information.
  • Associate Tickets with Devices: HappyFox Help Desk tickets can be associated with specific devices from Lansweeper for more efficient tracking and resolution.
  • Associate Contacts with Devices: User contacts are linked to their respective devices, enabling better support and communication.

Steps to Configure BambooHR Contact Sync:

  • Install the Lansweeper integration from the Apps section in HappyFox.

  • Log into your Lansweeper account using your admin credentials.

  • Authorize HappyFox to access and sync asset data from Lansweeper.

  • Select the sites you want to sync the assets to HappyFox Help Desk

  • Click "Allow" to complete the authentication and initiate the asset synchronization.

Managed Asset Type:

  • During the asset synchronization process, managed asset types are introduced into your HappyFox Help Desk account.

  • You can access the managed asset types under Asset → Settings → Asset Type.

  • The managed asset types will be accompanied by an icon, indicating the respective asset types created during Lansweeper synchronization.

  • The managed asset types cannot be edited or deleted.

  • You can adjust the contact association, ticket association, and asset quantity on the ticket toggle according to your requirements.

Managed Asset Fields:

  • Managed asset fields are added to managed asset types.

  • You can access the managed asset fields under Asset → Settings → Asset Fields.

  • The managed asset fields cannot be edited or deleted.

  • To create a custom field under a managed asset type, simply click the "+" icon next to the asset type name.

  • Custom fields can be cloned, edited, and deleted as needed.

Managed Asset:

  • Assets from Lansweeper are automatically synced to their respective managed asset types.

  • You can access the managed assets by navigating to Assets and selecting the desired asset type (e.g., Computer or Mobile).

  • Assets synced from Lansweeper will be accompanied by an icon. Clicking on this icon will redirect you to the asset detail page in Lansweeper.

  • The managed assets can be cloned but cannot be edited or deleted.

  • You can edit, clone, or delete assets manually added.

  • Contacts can be assigned to the asset from the Contact component in the right pane.

  • Tickets associated with the asset can be viewed in the Recent Ticket section.

  • You can manually add assets under the managed asset type. 

Manage the App:

  • Clicking "Disable this app" on the Lansweeper Integration page will deactivate the integration, disconnecting the asset sync.


Note: Deleting the synced Lansweeper account or disabling the app on the Lansweeper app management page will not un-sync or remove synced assets from HappyFox Help Desk.

  • What does managed asset mean?
    Managed assets are devices that are synced from Lansweeper to HappyFox Help Desk. These assets cannot be edited or deleted from within the Help Desk. However, any changes made to these assets in Lansweeper will be synchronized with HappyFox Help Desk.
     
  • How often is asset synchronization scheduled?
    By default, asset synchronization from Lansweeper to HappyFox Help Desk is scheduled daily at 12:01 am, based on the account's timezone. You can also manually trigger synchronization by selecting the "Sync Now" button.
     
  • How do I disable the Lansweeper integration?
    To disable the integration, click "Disable this app" on the Lansweeper Integration page. After disabling the app, reauthorize the tenant to deactivate it.
     
  • Will disabling the app or deleting the synced Lansweeper account remove the assets from HappyFox Help Desk?
    No, deleting the synced Lansweeper account or disabling the app will not un-sync or remove synced assets from HappyFox Help Desk.
