Created on field:

 

Time period fields like week, month are generally chosen on the X-axis to display trend. And in those cases Created on field is chosen to display the tickets created on those timeframes. Created on field, in turn, allows you to choose the date format from the drop-down- a few of the options available are date, month, quarter, day of the week etc.

 

If Created on-date format is chosen, you can change the date format dynamically on the report, after saving the visualization.

 

 

 

If you want to see the ticket inflow trend across quarters, then Created On- Quarter format should be brought on X-axis. 

 

 

To view the ticket inflow trend across quarters with year displayed, then Created On- Quarter with Year format should be brought on X-axis. 

 

 

To see the ticket inflow across months, simple choose Created On- Month format on X-axis.

 

 

To view the ticket inflow trend across weeks within the month, then Created On-Week of month format should be brought on X-axis. When a time range greater than a month is chosen the value for the weeks of those months get aggregated.

 

 

To display the values across the days of a week, choose Created On-Day of week for X-axis.

 

 

And to display the values across the hours of a day, choose Created On-Hour of day on X-axis.
