Audit logs let you track actions and changes made across your HappyFox Help Desk account, such as agent logins, permission changes, and updates to settings. They're useful for monitoring account activity and investigating potential security issues or internal misuse.

Types of audit logs

HappyFox Help Desk provides two levels of audit logging.

Type What's recorded
Basic audit logsAgent login sessions with timestamps.
Advanced audit logsActivity across Agents, Roles and Permissions, My Settings, Login & Logout, Agent Availability, Channels, Categories, Account Settings, Security, Smart Rules, Auto Assignment, SLA, Notifications, Custom Fields, Contacts, API/JWT/Webhook/SAML, Multi-brand, and Custom Domain.

Basic audit logs are available on all plans.

Advanced audit logs available on Enterprise PRO Scale Scale Plus

Before you start

View the audit log

  1. Go to Manage > Audit Logs.
  2. Review entries in the table. Each row shows:
Column What it shows
WhenTimestamp of the action, shown in the agent's timezone.
WhereThe IP address of the agent who performed the action.
ActorThe agent who initiated the change.
Action TypeCreate, update, or delete.
TargetThe module the change occurred in.
ActionA description of what the agent did.

Export the audit log

  1. Go to Manage > Audit Logs.
  2. Click Export in the top right corner.
  3. Choose a timeframe from the presets (for example, Last 7 Days, This Month) or select Custom Range to set your own dates.
  4. Choose the export format, CSV or XLSX.
  5. Click Export.

Note The exported file is generated and emailed to the agent who requested it, rather than downloaded directly in the browser.
